We are located in San Benito County, California, 30 miles east from the moderating influence of the cold and foggy Monterey Bay. Our vineyards are a collection of 3 unique and organically farmed properties which total 80 acres and include an eclectic mix of 25 varieties. Of these 25 varieties, there are a range of French, Spanish, and Dad’s favorite, the Italians. We strive to combine varieties, environments and cultural practices to achieve the utmost in variety expression and wine quality potential.

We treasure the historical nature of the region and the opportunity to share our interesting variety offering and our special pieces of San Benito terroir with you. The variances in microclimate, soil type, aspect and elevation of our properties showcase some of the best expressions of what San Benito has to offer.

Our oldest vineyard was planted in 1974 and our vines average 35 years old across our 3 sites. All of our blocks are over 25 years old and in their prime winegrowing phase. The Wheeler Vineyard is registered with the Historical Vineyard Society. As organic farmers, our vineyards have been CCOF-certified since Dec 2023.

Our headquarters are located on a panoramic vista in Tres Pinos, CA. The Wheeler House overlooks our vineyards along Tres Pinos Creek, just before its confluence with the San Benito River 6 miles southeast of Hollister. Contact us and come out for a visit!
